PGO Cars

PGO Automobiles began its incredible journey a little less than a quarter-century ago when two car buffs named Prevot Gilles and Olivier started producing replicas on a small scale. Since that time, the company has grown and exceeded all expectations- the drive and ambition of the PGO team resulted in the debut of The Speedster II at the Paris Motor Show in 2000.

PGO's aim was to offer to its customers a car that was equal parts retro and modern; possessing the look of a classic but being completely up to date in design, architecture and engine. The Speedster II allowed PGO to grow from a small-scale producer to a fully-developed car maker.

In 2001, PGO Automobiles opened a production plant that was almost 18,000 square meters in size, and close to the Gard Department's Pôle Mécanique d'Alès (in the southern part of France). This production facility was the beginning of the Speedster II's technical development, and it was also the beginning of a growth spurt for the company.

To further its growth, PGO Automobiles actively recruits investors from the public sector. In February of 2002, PGO was first listed on the Open Market at Paris' Stock Exchange. The production workshop and the design and engineering departments worked together on the Speedster II, and the car was homologated in Europe in 2003.

PGO headlined the World Motor Show back in 2004 with the Speedster II, and the company has built its reputation on its serious image and extensive knowledge. The Speedster II was praised as much for its looks as it was its specifications, and later on in the year it was chosen for the 15th Coupe and Cabriolet Show's official poster.

New investors breathed life into PGO Automobiles in June of 2005, and most of them were from the Middle East or Europe, much like PGO's customer base. The company decided to expand its product offerings with the first Cévennes, which were delivered in the end of 2005. The engineering for these cars was identical to that of the Speedster II, but the Cévennes had a more modern and sporty body style. In 2006, PGO went to its fourth World Motor Show to debut its crown jewel, The Beauty, which was created in partnership with Swarovski.

For 2007 and beyond, PGO's technical developments and corporate expansion serve as a testament to its strength. The company strives to create cars that are a good match for its customer base; in fact, the company will go and meet its customers no matter where in the world they are.

PGO specializes in creating unique roadsters for those that look at driving as both a necessity and an emotional experience.
